Job Summary

The Cashier/Payment Assistant will assist in the introduction (and will ensure regular operation) of financial management and procedures for the ASP. (S)he will ensure that the financial transactions are recorded in an accurate and complete manner in the financial management information system (FMIS), and financial statements and reports are prepared in a timely manner that conform to (the donors and partners in development, and the prevailing internal rules and regulations of the ASP/IDLG.

Duties & Responsibilities


The employee is responsible to record all cash transaction in the ledger,

The employee is responsible to update the ledger on daily bases,

The employee is responsible to keep track of cash and bank transaction,

The employee is responsible to keep limited amount of cash in office,

The employee is responsible to release cash only on the basis of approved disbursement vouchers signed by the person and individuals with sufficient authority levels,

The employee is responsible to deface the paid vouchers immediately and put paid stump on each paid voucher to avoid double payment for the same transaction,

The employee is responsible to distribute salary staff and obtain the signatures of the receiving parties on the pay slip,

The employee is responsible to check cash on daily basis and make sure that physical cash match the book balance,

10.The employee is responsible to prepare daily cash states report and provide it to the finance officer,

11.The employee is responsible to participate cash count and submit the report to the finance officer fortnightly and keep a signed copy of the cash count in the file,

12.The employee is responsible to abide by the cash management policy of the mission,

13.The employee is responsible to follow up cash/bank transaction from DAB to AB,

14.The employee is responsible to check bank statement on daily basis and make sure that match the ASP/MOF balance book and will report to finance officer.

Job Requirements

Must be High School graduated, or university degree is in related field
