Contribute to the strategic direction of the Bank through the implementation of sound and prudent underwriting standards to ensure that the bank is in complete compliance with DAB regulations, guidelines, and bank internal policies, and underwriting procedures in support of the Bank’s credit goals.
Main Task
1.Provide supervision, guidance and training to other officers of the bank engaged in lending activities to insure the safety of the credit portfolio.
2. Review and analyze new, renewal or extended cases of all loans in considerate for approval with the exception of consumer loans.
3. Assist in developing and implementing loan portfolio policies and procedures in accordance to current practice and DAB requirements.
4. Participate in various committees related to credit functions of the bank.
5. Participate in the development and implementation of the bank’s strategic credit objectives.
6. Provide support to business lines in initiating and managing credit relationship with commercial clients of all sizes.
7. Ensure that all credit proposals are properly submitted to Risk for review.
Additional Tasks:
The CCO may be assigned a number of additional tasks besides the main that already noted.
1. Supervise and conduct ongoing credit review for yearly assessment.
2. Provide guidance in the area of off-site visits to customer business for quarterly monitoring purposes. Provide updates and improve the scope of the visits to insure portfolio safety.

Maintain internal relationships with:
- Coordinate with other areas of the bank, such as Risk Management, IT, Operations, Finance/MIS, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, appropriately in order to create an efficient and effective communication via the functional lines.
- Provide training to credit staff on current related topics and any issues found in the underwriting process or during individual facility reviews.
