Develop strategies to accomplish the economic and financial objectives of NBSC.
Revise current policies and develop new economic and development policies
Regular contact and coordination with stakeholders
Develop marketing strategies and action plans for their implementation
Monitor and direct the overall administration and daily operation of the factory,
Prepare annual budgets and operational plans for the company including but not limited to annual production plan, investment plan, staffing plan and financial plans to be submitted to the shareholders\' assembly,
Plan, organize and convene the statutory shareholders\' meetings,
Develop monthly result-based reports of the work and progress to all stakeholders.
Identify, manage and mitigate risks
Hold regular staff meetings and ensure that staff are taking action in accordance to the program procedures and work plan.
Ensure that all company employees receive appropriate training in order to achieve company goals and objectives
Plan and implement procurement of capital goods and contracting of construction and repair work in accordance with the approved investment plan,
Plan and procure operating supplies needed for beet cultivation and processing (fertilizers, coal, coke, diesel, limestone, etc.) and the materials needed for administration,
Recruit staff, promote staff according to the approved personnel plan, formulation of tasks, skills and salaries of employees,
Plan and organize farmers\' meetings,
Plan and implement annual land acquisition including conclusion of beet cultivation contracts with farmers, annual beet sowing, cultivation care by the inspectors of the company and growing the beet harvest (including payment processing with the planters),
Organization of sugar sales and sales plan
Maintain accounts and credits records under approved financial plan,
Develop Request for Proposals (RFPs) and design new business activities and their implementation plan after approval by the shareholders\' meeting,
Ensure effective donor coordination and shareholders coordination by conducting regular meetings
Perform any other tasks as required.
To effectively perform the duties outlined in the Terms of Reference, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer should have the following qualifications:
Masters degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related fields
At least 5 years of experience at leadership and/or executive levels or management, preferably in agro-industrial enterprises.
Technical and agricultural knowledge is desirable,
Knowledge of IT (MS Office, Internet)
Excellent organizational, planning, reporting, negotiating, and communication skills,
Strong leadership qualities, assertive bearing, decisive character
Proficient in English, Dari and Pashto.
Adequate interpersonal skills, confident manner, ability to lead and motivate staff
Ability to take decisions, work in challenging environment and lead a team
Candidates from Baghlan, Kunduz, Samangan and Mazar Provinces are highly preferred.
