Job Summary

The IT Audit Officer will perform audit work in accordance with department and bank’s professional standards and complete assignments in an efficient manner with sufficient detail to ensure accurate and thorough coverage. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Engaging with external service providers to conduct comprehensive audits of AUB's IT infrastructure, systems, and applications to assess reliability, efficiency, and security.
  2. Collaborating with IT teams, management, and stakeholders to communicate audit findings, discuss potential risks, and provide guidance on implementing recommended improvements.
  3. Ensuring timely resolution of audit findings noted by external and internal audits and DAB through appropriate remediation actions.
  4. Contributing to the development of audit plans, scoping engagements, and establishing objectives to effectively evaluate IT controls.
  5. Preparing comprehensive audit reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
  6. Executing audit procedures, conducting control testing, and analyzing data to verify the effectiveness and efficiency of automatic processes in AUB.
  7. Contributing to the enhancement of IT audit methodologies and best practices to strengthen the audit function.
  8. Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with IT audit best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
  • At least 2-3 years experience in related field.
  • IT related certifications.
  • Audit related certifications.
  • Fluent communication skills (written and verbal) in Afghan local languages as well as English.
  • Having good analytical and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to use MS-Office packages.
  • Being accurate, professional and objective in the assigned audit tasks.
