Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Counterpart STEP Media Manager The successful applicant will be responsible for the following tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

 Contribute to the development of the Media Strategy by carrying out the research, compiling and analyzing the relevant data.
 Participate in design, development, pre-testing and evaluation of culturally relevant media material and activities
 Follow up on the production of materials and oversee the qualitative aspect of production such as ; quality control of translation in to Dari/Pashtu
 Monitor all media and public outreach activities for the Civic Education Program (CEP) and report to the Media Manager
 Ensure that all materials are delivered to the target recipients in a timely manner.
 Drafting of the quarterly fact sheet , getting the strips ( achievements bullet points of each program ) and to compile all the information and draft the fact sheet for reviewing of Media Manager
 Other tasks as may be assigned by the National STEP Media Manager.
 Excellent Report Writing ability.

Job Requirements

 Degree in Journalism or other related field preferred;
 3 years experience in media and public outreach activities;
 Good knowledge of the Afghan media landscape (working experience with Afghan media will be valued);
 Proficient with Microsoft Office Software
 Fluency in English
 And good translation skill.
