To operate and monitor UHF and HF radio systems, vehicle and personnel tracking systems, CCTV, e-mail, vehicle booking systems, satellite telephones, mobile telephone and internal phone systems, in English and local languages.
(a) Operate and monitor UHF and HF radio systems, vehicle and personnel tracking systems, CCTV, e-mail, vehicle booking systems, satellite telephones, mobile telephone and internal phone systems, in English and local languages.
(b) Maintain radio communications between AFRM staff and UNDSS, ensuring all emergency and communication equipment is functional at all times.
(c) Maintain radio communication with all AFRM drivers out on task.
(d) Maintain and update location boards for the tracking of AFRM staff and vehicles.
(e) Maintain a radio log and communication records.
(f) Conduct scheduled tests of Safe Room communication systems.
(g) Perform daily radio checks with in-country AFRM staff members.
(h) Maintain and update radio callsigns, contact details and other related communications information.
(i) Inform users of practical and useful radio equipment usage tips to increase communications efficacy.
(j) Prepare Emergency Communications package for visiting missions and new staff.
(k) Timely passage of important or urgent security information to relevant AFRM staff members and ADB HQ.
(l) Conduct necessary staff ‘headcounts’ in response to significant security incidents.
(m) Ensure AFRM Security Alert notice boards are current.
(n) During emergency situations perform the following tasks on behalf of the Security Team:
i. Communicate security alerts to personnel within AFRM compound by the Public Address (PA) system and radio networks.
ii. Communicate security alerts to personnel outside AFRM compound using radio, telephone and texting means.
iii. Communicate with UN Operations Room & the ADB Security Operations Centre in Manila.
iv. Operate Emergency Communications Systems from inside Safe Room if required.
v. Carry out staff headcount and report status to Security Unit
