MOAM is a full-service logistics provider. We procure, store, and deliver goods from the shipper to the end user. We transport everything from food and materials to machinery and equipment. Information flow, material handling, inventory management, transportation systems, warehousing operations, and security are all integrated into our logistics process.

Job Summary:

The Sales Executive is primarily responsible for assisting the Country Manager, in order to achieve MOAM Logistics’ overall sales revenue objectives; implementing sales strategies plans; generating sales opportunities by identifying appropriate business targets; and providing a professional and excellent level of customer service with existing and new customers by building an in-depth understanding of client business drivers, to competitively position MOAM Logistics against other logistics companies, and assist in managing the sales process to a successful conclusion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Sales executives function as a vital point of contact between MOAM Logistics and its clients; responding to queries or objections, offering advice, and promoting the services/products of the MOAM.

It also involves proactively reaching out to significant stakeholders, identifying, and selling innovative solutions and services to drive continuous improvement in their operations.

Logistics sales executives are responsible for researching and seeking out prospects via sales calls or visits to build a portfolio of clients, including drivers, truck owners, and fleet partners.

They are also required to act as the link between clients, carriers, shippers, and receivers.

Primary :

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies around the provision of logistical services in Afghanistan Market.
  • Identifying and contacting prospective customers to promote MOAM’s logistical services and negotiate contracts.
  • Evaluating business processes, assessing risks, and recommending improvements to achieve sales targets.
  • Responsible for developing a plan to achieve sales target
  • Assessing customer needs and determining suitable modes of transportation that align with cost and timeframe expectations.
  • Building a robust Carrier (Truck owner, Driver, and Sherkat hi BARBARI) and Shipper Portfolio and database for MOAM Digital Platform.
  • Calling, Meeting, screening, identifying, convincing and onboarding drivers, Truck owners and Sherkat hi BARBARI to MOAM Digital marketplace platform.
  • Logistics sales executives must be current and maintain personal knowledge of market freight rates to aid them in determining a price to pay trucks and charge shippers.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in clients’ supply chain operations, including process improvements that could increase efficiency or identifying alternative suppliers with lower costs
  • Represent the firm in negotiating and building relationship with shippers and carriers
  • Negotiating contracts with clients to determine product specifications, pricing, and delivery terms
  • Meeting with clients to present product samples, present marketing strategies, and discuss product details
  • Addressing customer concerns and finding innovative solutions for complex logistical challenges.

Secondary :

  • They are also responsible for communicating with the operations team to track loads as well as clients/prospects to provide them with up-to-date information
  • Overseeing the sales team, documenting processes, and preparing executive reports.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow-through till resolution
  • Develop and maintain computerized spreadsheets and databases to enter information and generate reports; may produce, revise, or refine formal presentation materials, using presentation software
  • Assist and support Transportation and other technical employees in daily work and reports.
  • Provide administrative support to management team and technical leads.
  • Oversees and coordinates administrative work to support staff as requested.
  • Attend weekly meetings, take meeting minutes, and send out to intended audience.
  • Translate the official memos from Dari into English and English to Dari.

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree, Master’s will be preferred 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or similar preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a sales position (preferably in Logistics)
  • Computer literacy essential with working experience on Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Professional attitude and strong desire to work in a fast-paced sales & marketing environment
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior media and/or advertising sales experience        
  • Previous experience in sales, shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehousing will be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software will be preferred.
