Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant in Herat, Afghanistan to manage our financial records, invoicing, and customer communications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks, excel in maintaining accurate financial data, and possess strong communication skills for interacting with customers and management.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Prepare, issue, and track invoices for customers.

• Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and address financial queries.

• Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping, record-keeping, and generating financial reports.

• Maintain detailed records of all transactions and prepare periodic financial summaries.

• Communicate effectively with customers regarding billing, payments, and account-related issues.

• Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.

• Handle day-to-day financial operations, including accounts receivable and payable.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory.

• Proven experience in accounting, preferably in import/export or trading companies.

• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and team collaboration.

• Ability to analyze financial data and provide accurate reporting.

• Familiarity with Afghan financial regulations is an advantage.
