The Afghan Cultural Advisors will work with US, NATO and ISAF forces in Ghazni Province and the Districts

The cultural advisor to work with ISAF staff In this role the advisors will support a variety of efforts to include: training incoming personnel on the Afghan history, culture, politics, and socio-economic issues; providing research on socio-economic, political, and cultural problems and opportunities; and deploying advisors to work with ISAF Provincial leaders to help provide context to the local environment.
The advisor shall advise and assist the ISAF leadership and Soldier Base in Ghazni provincial Center in Districts on issues relating to politics, governance, socio-economic development, and tribal dynamics in Afghanistan
Cultural Advisor must possess at least a bachelor’s degree preferably in Relationship, Political or social science, Journalism, history, or engineering or related field a national accredited university or an officially known Afghanistan University.
Employee shall be computer literate in Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Access, Power point, Outlook and Word).
The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of local Afghan people, to include tribal history, culture and political history. And shall be fluent in reading, writing, speaking and translating both Pashto/Dari. Must demonstrate the ability to read and speak at or above the 3 level on the Interagency Language Roundtable or equivalent grading scale.
Security Check/Clearance:
Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background investigation and security clearance adjudication conducted by the mission (The background investigation shall be repeated periodically (Time to Time). The scope of the clearance process is as follows:
Investigations attempt to assess whether a potential employee might compromise sensitive information or is otherwise unfit for an official position.
Investigations include interviews, screening tools, and records checks.
Investigations explore information regarding an individual’s loyalty, character, reliability, trustworthiness, and honesty.
The investigations provide assurance that a person has not demonstrated behavior that could be a security concern to the mission.
Medical Examination:
Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of medical examination with no positive result. The medical tests are:
