About Ministry of Refugees and Repatraition

Job Summary

This Ministry has obligated itself, based on negotiations with host countries, UNHCR, and IOM, to ensure repatriation of Afghan refugees both from neighboring and other countries, on volunteer basis, gradual, safe and honorable repatriation to the country of origin.
After the initial assistance during the course of reintegration, MoRR is trying its best to re-integrate millions of repatriates and IDPs and provide opportunity for their active participation in the process of rehabilitation, reconstruction of their settling areas, stabilization of their socio-economic condition and finally for the reconstruction of the country.
Strengthening cooperation and coordination in activities of related governmental and international agencies like UNHCR and IOM concerning the process of providing services in their places of origin after their reintegration.

Duties & Responsibilities


• Review existing policies, strategies and programs and advise on how collaboration between stakeholders can be strengthened so as to enhance the effectiveness of agricultural interventions;
• Collect information from stakeholders in both the public and private sectors on a range of issues related to agronomy, horticultural and livestock. Identify potential solutions to problems and constraints.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that they are informed of issues, events and results, and ensure that MoRR Collaborate in carrying out detailed assessment and identification of gaps existing in agriculture development
• Liaise with relevant departments within stakeholders and associated ministries in the government and project staff, to ensure coordination and collaboration required for implementation of MoRR programs
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of required technical and other reports as outlined in the program
• Assist the Operations Director with the co-ordination and monitoring of all MoRR operational and core activities.
• Analyze district level data contained in situation reports prepared by the districts teams.
• Assist in collecting data required for economic analysis of proposals.
• If necessary, contribute to the preparation and finalization of district level reports and submissions to the MoRR Provincial Directors, especially where district teams are new.
• Advice, support and guide Provincial and District teams on the implementation of MoRR activities.
• Organize and deliver coaching and training for Provincial and District teams in order to develop their capacities and skills.
• Assist with the monitoring and evaluation of effectiveness and impact of economic development packages.
• Undertake other duties as requested by the Reintegration department director

Job Requirements

• Recognized Advanced University degree in agriculture
• Fluency in Dari, Pashto and English. (Verbal, Writing)
• Minimum of 4 years of related work experience
• Experience of working in conflict situation, preferable
• Knowledge of different agriculture policies, with particular focus on special population e.g. refugees, IDPs, and those of returnees
