The ATM & POS support Officer helps not only to manage Financial Institutes & APS’s POS/ATM devices but also company application software, functional level tasks under supervision of Application Administrator. He/she should be experts in ATM & POS devices monitoring, installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting and responsible for keeping these devices up & running. The typical duties of an ATM/POS support Officer include helping to assess a company's ATM/POS level needs, instructing employees, performing troubleshooting and evaluating ATM/POS performance. And he will work under the direct supervision of the Application Administrator.
Installation, Configuration and Maintenance of ATM/POS machines & Devices
Software installation and troubleshooting for ATM/POS devices
Assisting in functional level activities with application administrator
Working with IT team for improvement and development of the existing applications and infrastructures
Helping and troubleshooting ATM, POS devices located in financial institutes premises and taking required steps for resolving problems
Configuring, installation and maintenance of existing applications in ATM/ POS
Technical analysis, functionality, and development of existing application and software for ATM & POS machines
Participation in development of project, specially functional level works
Familiar and able to work and configure various POS and ATM brand machines such as VeriFone, NCR, Diebold and Wincor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o Program management of existing software in ATM/POS
o Installation, Configuration and Maintenance of ATM & POS HW devices
o ATM OS and Designated Software Installation
o ATM Keys and Screens configuration and enabling in ATM machines
o Journal, Receipt Papers configuration in ATM Machines
o Merchant, IP and Port (network related) configuration in ATM and POS machines
o Cash replenishment in ATM Machines
o Cash Clearing in ATM Machines
o Fully aware and have knowledge of operations in ATM and POS machines
Work closely with the IT Manager to insure as little employee downtime as possible Outstanding customer service
Know about the procedure and rule of Clearance and End of Day (EOD)
Tasks related to ATM, POS operations
Taking required Fraud detection and avoidance measurement in ATM, POS machines
Dual and multiple authorization
Application integration, screen set in ATM & POS devices
Merchant payment, automatic account debit, ATM and merchant related tasks.
Be proactive.
Assist in monitoring application performance, functionality and supporting the end clients.
Assist in recommending improvements to infrastructure and systems.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
Bachelor’s degree in IT and Computer Science preferable, or 2 – 3 years educational background in the related disciplines.
Minimum 1 years’ experience in ATM / POS machines or IT/ Applications, Interfaces, functional related works.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Meet project deadlines.
Work under pressure and performing, completing tasks on time.
Good team work skills, capability of providing on time reports to supervisor
