Job Summary

We are looking for an objective Audit Officer to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and sound judgment.

The Audit Officer will review the accounts of companies and other organizations to ensure their financial records are correct and in line with the law. They could be inspecting the accounts of their own employer or those of another organization, and they can also act in an advisory role to recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.

Duties & Responsibilities

• collating, checking, and analyzing spreadsheet data.
• examining company accounts and financial control systems
• gauging levels of financial risk within organizations
• checking that financial reports and records are accurate and reliable.
• ensuring that assets are protected.
• identifying if and where processes are not working as they should and advising on changes to be    made.
• preparing reports, commentaries, and financial statements
• liaising with managerial staff and presenting findings and recommendations
• ensuring procedures, policies, legislation, and regulations are correctly followed and complied with
• Plan and perform internal control to provide reasonable assurance.
• Prepare annual report for the BOS at the end of every period.
• Develop and maintain a time budgeting and tracking system for audit project management.
• Assess the Organization’s system and software for preventing, detecting, and responding to fraud.
• Research changes in compliance requirements
• Attend meetings and interview staff to gather audit evidence such as audit documents and information.
• Manage a variety of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communication.
• undertaking reviews of wages
• Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.
• Maintain open communication with management. 

Job Requirements

• ACCA or CIA-qualified
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software (QuickBooks), and databases
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
• Proven experience carrying out financial audits for large organizations.
• Significant experience in client management within an audit portfolio
• Experience in audit testing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts, and disclosures
• Skilled in data analysis and financial reporting
• Passionate about providing ethical, quality audits.
