Job Summary

Moore Afghanistan is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Audit Trainees to join our Audit and Assurance Department. The Audit Trainee will support audit teams in the execution of audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in audit, accounting, and financial reporting under the supervision of experienced professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA)

• Perform substantive audit procedures on financial statement line items and account balances

• Assist in the evaluation of internal controls and identification of control deficiencies

• Prepare audit working papers and document audit findings in compliance with firm methodology

• Conduct analytical reviews of financial statements and support audit conclusions

• Participate in fieldwork at client premises and maintain professional relationships with client personnel

• Perform vouching, testing, and reconciliation of financial records

• Assist in drafting audit reports and client communications

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the profession

• Participate in internal training programs and professional development sessions


Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or final year student)

• Strong academic record with an interest in pursuing ACCA, CPA, CA, or other professional qualifications

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to travel within Afghanistan for field audits

• Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto


Preferred Attributes:

• Internship or prior work experience in accounting, audit, or finance

• Knowledge of accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage
