Distinguishing Characteristics
Is required to file and keep records, adjust billing errors, trace payments received without remittance advice to determine account to be credited. This position deals with administration of delinquent accounts; operates data entry devices; calculates customers’ average monthly consumption to determine electricity costs. Updates and maintains electronic and/or paper records of all transactions involving customer accounts, including monies received, prepares analysis breakdown of billing computations; prepares final notices for mailing to delinquent industrial customers.
Processing data from meter reading
Verifying meter reading data
Bill preparation
Checking accuracy and quality of billing
Identifying irregularities in data, filter meter reading errors, verify data in the field
Preparing bill distribution
Working order generation
Entering data in system from the inspection department and technical services
Payment tracking and assisting with the processing of delinquent accounts
Tracing payments received without remittance advice to determine account to be credited
Updating and maintaining electronic and/or paper records of all transactions involving customer accounts, including monies received and customer calls
Preparing analysis of breakdown of billing computations indicating for commercial and industrial consumers how bills are computed
Preparing final notices for mailing to delinquent industrial customers
Preparing disconnection work orders
Entering data for reconnections
Updating data from bank statements, customer payment reports and other sources
Achieving KPIs
Supervision Received
Works under the supervision and management of Head of Billing Unit.
Graduation from high school and one (1) year of experience in cashiering, customer service, and/or billing, preferably with a utility.
