Duties & Responsibilities

The duties / responsibilities of the Bridge Engineer are:
i) To participate in the planning, designs, preparation of technical drawings and technical reports in the Infrastructure Department for all Bridges, Roads junctions such as under passes, over passes (Flyovers), and other roads structures to be developed in KNC.
ii) To attend all meetings regarding Bridges and Flyovers’ planning, design, and construction projects in KNC
iii) To report to the Road Specialist regarding all technical activities such as planning, design, and construction of Bridges, Flyovers and other Road related structures in KNC.
iv) To coordinate and interact with the representatives of different organizations including JICA Teams in the development of Bridges, Flyovers, and other Roads Structures in KNC.

Job Requirements

• Minimum B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering or Bridge Engineering with more than 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to analyze and design Bridges and other Roads related structures using relevant codes.
• Excellent writing and spoken Dari, Pashto, and English are an asset.
• Previous similar experience in the designing and implementation of Bridges and Roads related structures.
• Good organization and communication skills.
• Computer literacy with the ability to use relevant engineering computer programs
