The Child Protection Officer reports to the Chief of field office in Jalalabad for supervision. The Child Protection Officer provides professional technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for child protection programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results. H/She prepares, executes, manages, and implements a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating, and reporting.

A G-6 staff member is predominantly accountable for applying a broad range of specialized budgetary and contractual rules and procedures in the coordination of administrative support to the team served. Efficiently initiating, monitoring and ensuring the provision of administrative services frees time up for the division to focus on the core business.
Budget Associates represent the supervisor in initiating, following up on and resolving issues pertaining to budget, contract and
administrative requests. External contacts include counterparts in other Divisions especially DHR, DFAM and SD.
