Under the direct supervision of the Business Development Manager and in close coordination with the CEO and the COO, with the assistance and support of the other business development team members, the Business Development Assistant is responsible to assist the Business Development Manager and the Business Development Team with the development and implementation of a comprehensive business development strategy for NETLINKS; promoting and expanding NETLINKS’ market outreach and business growth.
Some of the key duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Assistant includes but are not limited to:
Support and assist the Business Development (BD) Manager and Team with the development and implementation of NETLINKS’ business development and market expansion strategy -- focused on regular annual business growth and expansion --. Thus, the Business Development Assistant will be assigned to specific market segments and sectors as part of the market expansion strategy as/when required.
Assist and support the BD Manager and Team in maintaining and growing the company’s current leadership position and successful portfolio in the market and amongst the current clients and potential future clients across markets by developing winning proposals, business plans, concepts, surveys, reports, researches, analysis, briefings, presentations and more.
Assist and support the BD Manager and Team with the conceptualization, planning, development and implementation of state of the art and easy to maintain and operate online Customer Relations Management (CRM) system/s and database/s for NETLINKS and its sister companies in line with NETLINKS’ general business development strategy and organizational structure.
With precise details orientation and a timely use of NETLINKS’ online CRM system/s and database/s; the BD Assistant will be expected to develop and submit regular and occasional progress reports and immediately be able to update the BD Manager and Team about NETLINKS’ progress in his/her assigned markets and sectors. Thus, the BD Assistant will be evaluated based on the adequate implementation and follow-up of NETLINKS’ general business development strategy and his/her ability of developing and maintaining relationships with the existing and potential clients and customers subsequently resulting in the expansion and growth of NETLINKS’ market outreach and business.
Support and assist the BD Manager and Team in conducting quality management and control of all NETLINKS projects; the BD Assistant is responsible for the quality control and the subsequent outputs created and submitted for the BD Teams focus markets and sectors (including the review of each and every proposal), conducting regular BD Team meetings, and contributing back to the professional development of each BD team member.
Assist and as/when required lead prospective clients and customers networking and other related BD meetings, briefing and presentations with focus on meeting the most relevant individuals and managers promoting any proposed service and/or product proposals. Ensuring regular, timely and professional follow-ups.
The BD Assistant is expected to assist and if/when needed deliver any relevant sales/business-case presentations and briefing for various prospective clients and customers. Therefore, the BD Assistant is also required to as/when required, having an excellent understanding of the sales/business-case for proper presentation, briefing, communication, sustainability, benchmarking, analysis and research in a comprehensive and concise manner, as well as understanding of how to present NETLINKS as one of the best and biggest ICT companies in the country.
The BD Assistant is also responsible to regularly update any relevant BD and marketing materials and resources, ensuring accuracy, consistency and professionalism. The BD Assistant is also required to regularly share, communicated and coordinate relevant BD material, resources, documents, and Intel with the BD Team and other relevant department and individuals.
The BD Assistant with the assistance and input from the BD Manager and other team members is required to constantly think and come-up with ideas and ways to innovate and package new products and services to be offered by NETLINKS, in line with changing market demand and realities.
The BD Assistant in the assistance and input from the BD manager should constantly be exploring opportunities and areas to promote and expand NETLINKS’ business in both existing and new markets.
The BD Assistant with the assistance of other BD team members is also responsible for the professional conceptualization, management, implementation and follow-up of all NETLINKS business events including but not limited to business seminars, conferences, exhibitions, ceremonies and gatherings.
At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject such as business management, business development or any other relevant fields. Candidates with a bachelor degree in other disciplines are also required to have at least a diploma in business management and/or business development.
At least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant position with a reputable national and/or international organization.
Excellent writing skills, good analytical and critical thinking skills, good communication and people skills, good IT basics and office automation skills, good risk analysis and management skills, business acumen skills, open to learning, articulate, resourceful, tactful and assertive.
