The Business Development Officer is required to work with a team of qualified personnel in business development sector. His/her main responsibilities would be; creating customer awareness about company’s services and products, identifying new business partner and customers, sourcing various business opportunities, developing and drafting business plan, proposal, business letters, liaise with customers and clients, provide orientation and presentation regarding companies services and products to clients, maintain good customer relationship, represent the company in most professional ways and take initiative in business growth of the company. However, his/her specific duties and responsibilities would be:
Tracking and checking the websites, newspaper, media and business portals for business opportunities.
Downloading RFQs, RFPs, letter of interest etc, reading them, highlighting the key factors and reporting to business development manager accordingly.
Develop and draft proposal plans, outline and schedules; and prepare questions for the potential clients.
Develop and draft business plan, business proposals, quotations, letters of interest, and other business letters with Thoroughness, accuracy, staffing, financial considerations, quality and effective design and layout
Attend the pre-bid meetings, raise the questions and incorporate the matters in the proposal and quotation effectively.
Attend business meetings and bidding events with donors, be able to negotiate on proposal and defend the technical and administrative aspects of the proposals.
In addition to work on specific proposals, the Business Development creates corporate concepts and boilerplate content for use in future proposals.
To follow up on bids submitted i.e. post proposal submission efforts, proposal lessons learned, staff meetings.
Conduct Market analysis & research for Business Development Activities ;Bidding on online platforms
Developing strategic ideas or proposals to make the company successful and increase revenue
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners\' needs and goals.
Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Protects organization\'s value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
Bachelors Degree in Business/Marketing or Sales,
Work on his/her own initiative
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent methodical, tactical, and sales skill

Energetic and Reliable, Flexibility of working under Pressure and working for extra hours when needed
Ability to Meet Deadlines with sensitive time limits
2-3 Years of Experience in Business Development, proposal writing,
Preferably with one year experience in the Logistic Industry vertical.
Professionalism
Strong Communication Skills in both English and National Languages
Not involved in the University education.
Willingness to work extra hours either from office or home.
