Duties & Responsibilities

The BDSP will work in Communication Unit and report to Communication Unit Manager. The duties of the BDSP shall include: supporting communication manager to develop promotional materials, develop action plan, radio/TV spots for outreach materials, producing reports highlighting program developments, achievements and success stories.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required:

At least 3 years work experience in the field of public information and communication,

preferably in countries in the region;

Degree (minimum bachelors) in Development Studies/Communications/Journalism or equivalent;

Excellent command of Dari, Pashtu and English languages

Training and experience in computer aided design;

Demonstrated experience in writing articles and text for professional publications;

Excellent writing skills;

Excellent knowledge and skills in computer applications of MS Office, desktop publishing

programs, and website design and management;

Experience working in a multi-cultural environment;

Sensitive to gender issues;

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and positive attitude towards working with host country national staff and government officials


Theoretical and professional background in communication
