Afghanistan Social Workers Professional Organization
The Afghanistan Social Workers Organization (ASWPO) is implementing a Business Acceleration Program for women entrepreneurs in Districts 13 and 6 of Kabul. The program aims to empower 50 women entrepreneurs through training, mentorship, and business coaching, ultimately helping them improve their businesses and sustain economic independence. ASWPO seeks an experienced Business Trainer and Coach who will provide comprehensive business training, coaching, and mentorship to program participants, helping them enhance their entrepreneurial skills and grow their businesses.
Job Summary
The Afghanistan Social Workers Organization (ASWPO) is hiring Business Trainer and Coach.
Duties & Responsibilities
Training sessions manual Development
Design and develop a detailed training manual (Slides) covering essential business skills such as business planning, marketing, financial management, budgeting, customer service, sales strategies, and entrepreneurship development.
Training Delivery
Conduct interactive and practical training sessions, ensuring participant engagement and effective learning. The training sessions will cover two batches of 25 businesses each.
Use a variety of training methods, including lectures, group discussions, case studies, and role-playing exercises to ensure maximum understanding and retention.
Evaluation of Training Impact
Assess the impact of the training by measuring improvements in participants' knowledge and skills before and after the sessions.
Provide recommendations for any follow-up training or additional support to improve participants' business performance.
Business Coach Responsibilities
One-on-One Business Coaching
Provide individualized coaching to each business during the program, focusing on practical challenges and opportunities they face in their respective businesses.
Mentorship and Guidance
Offer mentorship and guidance to program participants throughout the program, helping them refine their business strategies, overcome operational issues, and develop sustainable business models.
Business Improvement Strategies
Support participants in identifying and implementing strategies for business growth, market penetration, and customer acquisition.
Ongoing Support
Provide ongoing support during the program’s second phase, which includes follow-up mentorship after the completion of formal training.
Assist in developing business pitch presentations for networking and investor showcases.
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
Collaborate with the ASO project team in monitoring and evaluating participants’ progress throughout the program. Provide input for the final program report.
Provide regular updates and detailed reports on the performance and outcomes of participants, highlighting improvements, challenges, and areas for future support.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in business training, coaching, or mentoring, ideally within the NGO or private sector.
Proven track record in providing business development support to startups, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly women-owned businesses.
Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of entrepreneurship, business management, financial planning, marketing, and sales strategies.
Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering business training programs.
Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to support businesses through practical, real-world advice.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business challenges and recommend actionable solutions.
Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity, with experience working in diverse environments.
Fluent in Dari and/or Pashto; proficiency in English is an advantage.
