OMID Radio is a national radio station operates in Afghanistan, main office in Kabul with provincial branches in five large regions of the country. OMID Radio produce and broadcast News magazine, Islamic, Social, Cultural, Economic and etc programs. This radio station reaches over 15 million listeners in Kabul, neighboring and other provinces of Afghanistan. Established in 2023, OMID Radio is an independent, non-governmental media organization, registered in Afghanistan. Throughout its short history of establishment, the station has voiced the voices of its listeners from urban centers and all across Afghanistan. OMID Radio is committed to reflect the truth and be a strong communication bridge between its audiences and government.

Job Summary

We are looking for knowledgeable, skilled and experienced candidate to record and edit the videos. The assigned person will be working closely with the graphic team to ensure the video clips produced with high quality in terms of technical issue and scenes.   

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Work with directors to determine all aspects of shots.
2. Provide practical and creative input to scene planning.
3. Select, assemble and position equipment (cameras, stands, software etc.).
4. Prepare cameras and test angles or camera movements.
5. Shoot scenes according to requirements.
6. Capture quality footage from a fixed or moving position.
7. Collaborate with directors how to capture quality and attractive clips.
8. Resolve technical or practical issues in video.
9. Setup the lights while recoding the video.
10. Record and Edit the video as needed.
11. Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma; degree in film, media or relevant field is a plus.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in video and camera.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Premier and Photoshop.
• Ability of speaking in Pashto and Dari.
• Proven experience as camera operator.
• Experience operating relevant equipment (cameras, cranes etc.).
• Excellent theoretical knowledge of filming and capturing material.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to think and act quickly.
• Travel to provinces and districts when needed.
• Physical strength to carry heavy equipment.
