The Capacity Building Manager will be responsible for overall management of Capacity Building unit, develop training manuals, organizing workshops, seminars, and events. The Capacity Building Manager is also responsible to develop monthly, quarterly and annual reports to donors and organization.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Capacity Building Manager are as following:
The Capacity Building Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of Capacity Building component and is directly leading the day-to-day operations.
The Capacity Building Manager is responsible for overseeing the budgets relating to this component and the deployment of resources, such as short-term expert, Training Officers, Resource Center Assistants;
The Capacity Building Manager will be assisting the training officer in developing the training manual, conducting trainings/workshops/seminars;
The Capacity Building Manager will be directly responsible for establishing the Resource Centers in target regions ensuring that the resource centers are well developed, resources (hard & soft) are collected and maintained, and properly used;
The Capacity Building Manager will be closely supervising the activities and performances of the Training Officer, and Resource Center Assistants;
The Capacity Building Manager will be responsible for identifying strategic Capacity Building needs, reviewing of strategy, drafting Capacity Building schedules for CSOs and implementation plans;
The Capacity Building Manager is required to maintain regular communication with the Capacity Building team, Tawanmandi and other donors and provide progress reports as requested;
A Bachelor Degree in social science, business administration, public policy and administration, development studies, or any relevant field;
The successful candidate will be able to evidence at least 5/10 years of experience, at a senior level, of the following
The successful candidate will be expected to be fluent, both verbally and in writing, in both local languages and English, and able to write detailed reports for a range of different audiences in Dari and English languages;
Essential skills and experience
An understanding of, and experience of wide range of capacity building approaches;
Training experience, including training needs assessment and the development of capacity building plans for organizational development;
Experience of organizing events including participants from wide range of background;
Experience of working with wide range of NGOs and CSOs;
Understanding of the requirements of an external donor funded program, including achieving deadlines and meeting objectives set by the organization and donor;
Ability to draw up and manage budgets;
Experience of managing staff and short-term experts;
Sound understanding and knowledge of anti-corruption;
Analytical skills and the ability to process information into reports;
