Job Summary

The incumbents will be primarity responsible for various institutional capacity development programs to strenghten womem based civil society organizations (CSO's) in Afghanistan. The capacity development assistants will provide technical assistance and institutional strenghtening consulting support to CSOs and assist the CSOs to identify and implement practical, targeted institutional strengthening activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

-Mentor and supervise the administration of the Gender Audit
- Assist CSOs with developing an institutional strengthening plan based on the results of the Gender Audit administration
- Identify specific interventions that can strengthen CSOs
- Facilitate capacity building workshops and conduct relevant trainings
- Build CSO capacity in finance, accounting, business development or any other organizational or programmatic technical area

IV. Competencies
• Able to lead and advise on strategic planning, monitoring, management of projects
• Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and tolerance
• Promotes knowledge management and a learning environment in the office
• Solid knowledge in human resources management and general administration
• An excellent communicator with solid presentation, facilitation and coordination, consulting, and public speaking skills

Job Requirements

A college or equivalent degree and relevant experience in organizational/institutional capacity building as well as experience in a technical area, such as: gender, advocacy, monitoring and evaluation, business, finance, and program management. Fluency in English, Dari and Pashto preferred.
