Cashier/Voucher Examiner (FSN-07)
Handles cash transactions such as travel advances, vendor payments, accommodation exchange, deposits and replenishments using a sub advance from the Class B cashier $75000. Coordinates travel for consulate employees and TDYers. Responsible for processing vouchers for payment in Kabul.
Education: University Degree in accounting/business is required.
Experience: One year of progressive responsible experience in accounting with UN Offices, NGO, National or international companies, U.S. or Afghan government or western embassies is required.
Language: Level III (good working knowledge) speaking/reading in English and Dari language is required.
Knowledge: In addition to a solid working knowledge of accounting principles and business processes, the incumbent must become familiar with all State Dept. and U.S. Government vouchering, payment and contracting procedures and rules.
Abilities and Skills: Ability to work independently, create Excel documents and formulas, track and process complex financial transactions, work with local vendors and the Financial Management Office in Kabul to ensure timely payment and adherence to all relevant rules and procedures.
