Job Summary

A chief credit officer is a senior member of the executive staff of PASHTANY BANK. This officer creates and administers all policies and procedures surrounding the credit to consumers. This may include short and long loans, micro and macro loans and credit cards. Chief Credit Officer oversees the activities of all credit division and commercial credit portfolio.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Chief Credit Officer is responsible for providing support, direction, credit information, and loan policies and procedures to ensure the overall quality of the Bank's lending portfolio. Duties. Reviews and approves/declines large and complex loans prior to submission to Loan Committee. The position of Chief Credit Officer is also responsible for participating in several committees involved in the management of the Bank. Performs direct supervisory duties of department staff, and coordinates staff for coverage in all related areas of the department.
This position will be responsible for the loan approval process, credit policies and procedures, security documentation, credit information and risk management. In addition, responsibility for credit policy compliance and procedures, credit delivery systems, loan accounting, collecting reporting related to credit activities, portfolio performance and compliance with regulations and law applicable to credit delivery will fall under this role. Working with the board of directors and other members of the senior management team as well as within the perimeters of all legal regulations, the Chief Credit Officer develops all guidelines and a strategy regarding the bank's lending activities.

Job Requirements

The candidate must have a broad-based knowledge of credit and credit administration practices, marketing, and fiscal operations with emphasis on the management processes that guide and control these functions. Strong leadership and effective communication skills are essential.
Candidate must possess excellent time management skills, advisory skills, coaching and mentoring skills, good oral and written communication skills, skills in building customer relationships, strategic marketing skills and be solution oriented.

A Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, with a minimum of 7 years experience in credit management is required. Some supervisory experience and CPA or CA designation will be preferred.
