Job Summary

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, management, and execution of all IT operations within the company. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive digital transformation, enhance cybersecurity, manage IT infrastructure, and foster a culture of innovation. The CIO will work closely with senior management to ensure that IT systems and processes align with the company's business objectives and support its growth and success.


Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic IT Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the IT Division, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to achieve business objectives.
  1. Digital Transformation:
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Implement advanced technologies to drive innovation and competitiveness.
  • Oversee the development and execution of digital projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
  1. Cybersecurity and Risk Management:
  • Develop and implement robust cybersecurity strategies to protect the company's data and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to cybersecurity.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential threats.
  1. IT Infrastructure Management:
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and data centers.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems.
  • Implement best practices for IT operations, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  1. Data Management and Analytics:
  • Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure the accuracy, availability, and security of data.
  • Drive the use of data analytics to support decision-making and identify opportunities for business improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.
  1. IT Governance:
  • Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks to ensure the effective and efficient use of IT resources.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Monitor and report on IT performance metrics, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  1. Innovation and Research:
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the IT Division, encouraging the exploration and adoption of new technologies.
  • Lead research initiatives to identify emerging technologies and trends that could benefit the company.
  • Collaborate with external partners, including universities and research institutions, to stay at the forefront of technological advancements.
  1. Training and Development:
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the IT team.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development within the IT Division and across the organization.

Ensure that the IT team is up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CIO or similar senior IT leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in IT strategic planning, digital transformation, and cybersecurity.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, data management, and analytics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and manage complex IT projects.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is highly desirable.

Experience:

• 12 – 15 years’ experience in an IT environment

•  At least 8 years strategic management experience in an IT function within a multinational environment specifically telecom industry is preferable
