The CIO does strategic planning, technology management, resource allocation, and budgeting for Computer Services, including the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, servers, software application development, reporting, interfaces with third-party systems, user training, identification.
1. Develop and implement the bank’s technology strategy aligned with business goals.
2. Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
3. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance for servers, storage, and cloud services.
4. Direct the management of network architecture, ensuring robust connectivity and security.
5. Implement best practices for network performance monitoring and optimization.
6. Lead the development and deployment of banking applications that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
7. Ensure that applications are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry regulations.
8. Establish and enforce IT security policies to safeguard sensitive data and maintain regulatory compliance.
9. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
10. Oversee database architecture, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
11. Implement data management best practices to support analytics and reporting needs.
12. Build and lead a high-performing IT team through mentoring, coaching, and professional development.
13. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT department.
14. Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
15. Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize costs and service levels.
16. Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures where necessary.
