1. Is responsible under the direction of the Chief of CIS to provide first level customer support for the IT Department. Log and co-ordinate support calls between IT support and customers to ensure Service levels are maintained to maximise computer systems availability
2. Perform enrolment-associated tasks and accurate maintenance of customer details on the IT Helpdesk system and asset register:
• Identify, evaluate and prioritize problems and complaints
• Analyze customer problems and formulate plans of resolution
• Utilize all technical resources to solve customer problems
• Assist in identifying resolution gaps at the helpdesk and author knowledge base submissions accordingly.
• Assist in evaluating new services, processes and technologies introduced at the helpdesk.
3. Carry out tasks on the daily schedule - maintenance of all related documentation in accordance with quality standards
4. To undertake any other miscellaneous or non-recurring duties related to the post as may be directed
5. Installation and configuration of CISCO network components
6. Manage and maintain MS Exchange, Symantec Anti Virus, Active Directory and Application servers.
7. Manage the operation and maintenance of the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) switches and routers.
8. Provide hardware and software troubleshooting support to all EUPOL office locations
9. CIS Systems testing and analysis.
10. Maintain CIS procedural documentation.
11. Provide technical reporting to Senior CIS Officer, Chief of CIS
12. Participate in departmental training activities including training programs in support of new technologies and procedures.
13. Assist in the support of additional and current CIS projects as required.
1. A thorough knowledge of computers with particular attention to the use and configuration of Microsoft Products
2. Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2003 / 2008 system administration
3. Knowledge of configuration and operation of international standard HF, UHF Transceivers
4. At least a Diploma in Computer Studies
5. MCSE qualified
6. CCNA or CCNP qualified
7. Essential Helpdesk experience
8. An excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
9. Previous IT Support experience
10. Relevant work experience from other international organization is regarded as an asset.
