Job Summary

Objective:
To manage and ensure high quality control of different infrastructure works under the MoPH construction directorate.

To provide project cost estimation of different vertical infrastructure in coordination with construction directory team.

To facilitate implementing partner(contractors) based on ground reality

To develop leadership vision for future perspective and long term strategy of Construction Directorate with the Ministry of Public health.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:  Provide comprehensive Geo-Tectonic, information in coordination with (survey and construction departments) as an initial benchmark for design of vertical infrastructure.
 Provide and share finding report (Geo-Tectonic) with MoPH procurement directorate for further transparency and accountability in signing of contracts with implementing partner.
 Direct and significant involvement in minimizing of unplanned and extra jobs in the field of related construction affairs .
 Provide training to engineers both (central and provincial) on Planning, and project cost estimation.
 Provide a constructive mechanism to review all Tepic designs for improvement based on province ground specification and climate situation
 Provide appropriate supervision mechanism for managing of targeted infrastructure based on design specification and engineering standards.
 Assist engineering department in all technical aspect aiming design quality improvement.
 Active participation in Bid evaluation as Bid evaluation team member in coordination of relevant involved departments.
 Regular field supervision of construction projects bimonthly for technical assistance
 Provide accurate progressive report on monthly bases to the construction directorate
 Perform any other duties required by the Senior Management of the construction Directorate.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and experience:
Having Bachelor degree field of civil engineering, Candidate with Master degree in civil engineering is preferred.

At least five (5) years professional practical post graduated experience in civil engineering /design for bachelor & (3)yeas for master, with national and international organization in design of buildings, associated works (water supply, sewerage etc.) and experience in construction of vertical infrastructure will be given extra weight age.

Knowledge in preparation of tendering documents, specifications and BOQs

Proven ability to produce technical guidelines and specifications in the field of design affairs

Discretion and sound judgment in applying technical expertise to resolve day-to-day issues & ability to travel in the provinces.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working

with people in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language and fluent in a local language;

Having computer skills of construction designing programs (Auto Cad).
