Job Summary


The Cleaner will report directly to the Logistics & Procurement Specialist. The Cleaner will be required to clean and maintain the project office and guest house areas. Specific job duties will include but not be limited to the following activities:

Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Be responsible for cleaning office and guest house areas, including the yard or outdoor areas.

Vacuum carpets/wash floors on a daily basis, dust everyday all furniture and fixture so that same is kept clean; clean stairwells and all entrances on a daily basis; clean windows/doors as required, empty trash basket on a daily basis; do laundry and ironing as requested.

Ensure that the bathrooms are cleaned daily and that adequate supplies are available, such items as toilet paper, water, soap, washing detergent etc.

Inspect the proper functioning of electrical and plumbing fixtures on a daily basis, and immediately bring to the attention of the supervisor any repairs, maintenance or replacements that are required.

Seek immediate replacement of tube lights and bulbs that are fused.

Keep supervisor informed regarding supplies needed on a timely basis.

Prepare and serve refreshments to visitors and during meetings when/as required to do so.

Assist in arranging official functions.

Daily inspect the proper functioning of electrical and plumbing fixtures and immediately bring to the attention of the supervisor any repairs, maintenance or replacements that are required. Seek immediate replacement of tube lights and bulbs that are fused.

Report to supervisors any damage or items that need repair.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education/experience:

High school graduate is preferred

Previous office cleaning and housekeeping experience is preferred

Familiar in operating household appliances and office equipment


Skills/Competencies:

Ability to work well in a cross-cultural environment

Attention to detail

Time management and prioritisation skills

Strong communication skills in Pashto or Dari

Good adaptability and ability to work under pressure

High level of integrity, independence and initiative

Strong customer service and ability to work quickly under deadlines
