We are pleased to announce our requirement for a Commercial Director to head our Commercial Division. The role will primarily be based in Dubai but will have to travel to Kabul depending on the company requirement.
Responsible for the proper development and implementation of a commercial strategy to enhance the airline's competitive position and develop strategies to increase revenues, as well as maximising the airline's attractiveness amongst passengers (domestic and International).
Help define the future commercial direction of the company and determines the objectives and proposes business solutions to achieve profitability.
Leads and provides strategic and tactical direction to the Commercial function (Sales & Marketing, Business Development (Domestic, International and e-business), Marketing & Communication, Airline scheduling, International Affairs, Charter sales, Cargo sales and Revenue Management, Pricing & Distribution, Product and FFP).
Responsible for the budget planning and implementation of the commercial area, including the costs of sales, distribution and other costs associated with revenue production.
Key interaction with a wide range of domestic and international commercial entities, tour operators, travel agencies, advertising agencies etc.
Develop and direct Safi Airways’ interline partners to maximise potential revenue.
Consider and manage Safi Airway’s alliance potential development and direction.
Work closely to determine fleet type and integration.
Utilise advanced selling techniques and account management / solution selling to coach the sales team.
Management and development of offline sales and negotiation of new GSAs for new online routes.
Builds and develops relationships with airline and airport partners.
Management of a clearly defined sales call plan for the team and him / herself.
Assignment of clearly defined professional and personal KPIs for all direct reports as well.
Recruitment of new staff extending to training, coaching and development of new and existing staff.
Develop and set long-term SLAs with Safi Airways corporate clients.
Identify and execute effective short-term sales promotions based upon shoulder seasonality or unexpected drop in load.
Management of a clear internal communication to all stakeholders with regard to sales activity.
Ensure integration of web content with sales and marketing activity.
Continual monitoring of other airline pricing, capacity and to work closely with Revenue Management and Pricing teams.
