Job Summary

  • The Commercial Manager will be responsible for planning and executing all regional Sales and marketing activities according to strict deadlines and with exceptional excellence and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party vendors to deliver tasks according to plan.
  • The Commercial Manager will also ensure measurements of all regional Sales and marketing activities and submit periodical reports to the Regional Manager and the HQ Commercial team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the region’s overall Sales, Marketing, and customer experience activities.
  • Oversee Brand Shop operations, Franchisee Outlets, and AWCC Centers by supporting them on all Commercial-related requirements.
  • Oversee SIM, TUC, and E-Top Up distribution in the region, maintain working relationships, and extend support on all business requirements.
  • Ensure stock availability in all possible touch points in the market (Brand Shops, AWCC Centers, Franchisee Shops, Retailers, Direct Sales Agents, etc.)
  • Ensure flawless execution of all Marketing Communication activities (Roadshows, Shop Displays, Brand Visibility, POPs distribution across channels, etc.)
  • Team building & arranging periodic training programs with support from HQ commercial & HR to enhance the skills level of Sales and marketing team members.
  • Track competition activities in terms of Sales and marketing and update the Regional Manager and the HQ Commercial Team from time to time.
  • Lead sales activities supporting corporate accounts with a primary focus on the following end-user segments: government, SME, large accounts, top Corporates, institutions, etc.
  • Responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market strategy for the segments covered.
  • Oversee the achievements of the business goals and revenue targets and goals.
  • Propose a market approach to the account base and gain approval for all necessary resources.
  • Achieve the monthly sales target and ensure the same is met for both TUC/E-TOP UP and SIM etc.
  • Weekly and monthly periodic reporting in the agreed format on all Commercial initiatives and updates to HQ Commercial & Regional Manager.
  • Act as point of contact for all commercial-related matters in the region.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Intelligence team, Product team, and Brand team in sharing vital information about the region and helping them derive products and services best suited for the region.
  • Ensure timely production of all POP materials as per HQ instructions and execution of the same in the market.
  • Coordinate with local media, and visibility partners and ensure excellence in execution, monitoring & reporting.
  • Other job-related tasks as assigned by the RM or the Senior Management. 

Job Requirements

  • University degree, preferably in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in mid or senior managerial level in the commercial field. Past managerial experience in the telecom industry will be an advantage.
  • Need to be a leader, a problem-solver, and be goal-oriented.
  • Organization skills to maximize the use of time and resources and to lead the region effectively.
  • Deliver effective presentations adapting language and style to fit the audience.
  • Develop relationships based on openness, trust, and mutual respect.
  • Business-minded, entrepreneurial, aggressive, and sales-focused.
  • Ability to analyze and improve sales & operational processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Afghan local languages as well as English; good computer literacy.

  • Persuasiveness and discipline.
