The job will involve a large amount of desk and substantial fieldwork. The PO will provide general and technical support to the Project. S/he will design, strategies and implement plans in consultation with Pakistan/Afghanistan based program leaders and the teams
Assist the CBHC Health Visitor in the weekly antenatal clinics and malnourished clinics.
Accompany the Health Visitor on sub village visits for deliveries, Health Education, malnourished children and assist her in any way required.
Accompany and assist Health Visitor on Community Health Days.
Give health education to the community elders as directed by the Community Health Visitor.
Assist Doctor & Health committee in performing Reproductive Health Procedures at Reproductive in the Health facility.
Participate in the National Immunization Days & MNNT campaigns.
Collections of monthly report from CHWs then submit it to supervisor.
Active participating in the meetings and trainings of CHWs.
Any other task assigned by the Health project Officer/ Deputy Director/Ad’s/PMO and/or Coordinators.
Pulls family booklets of old patients and puts in sequence for attendance by doctors or Midwife.
Makes out family booklets for new patients and puts in sequence for attendance by doctors or Midwife’s.
Checks immunizations status of children under five (5) years and woman 15-45yrs, and, if indicated, directs patient to vaccinator. All mothers must be continuously told to bring EPI cards whenever they attend HFs. Data from these cards must be entered on family booklets or are duplicate card made and attached to booklet.
Re-files family booklets by end of each clinic day.
Assists other team members on clinic and community health days according to skills, training and experience as directed by HF medical officer.
Collect Patient Fee and maintain cash register.
Hand over cash to dispenser at the end of the day.
Participate in all the Community Health Days.
For the post of CHS a degree from university and have 2 years experience is considered necessary.
Familiar with computer
Good Pashto & Dari are essential
The CHS must be tolerant and sensitive to needs of religious and ethnic minorities, women and the poor.
In the absence of the supervisors, the CHS must have the confidence, initiative, patience and integrity to work independently.
