The community mobilisers are the organisations’ primary interface with the communities where we work. They will responsible for introducing the organization and our projects to the communities, awareness raising and community training activities, and other project activities as required. They will build relationships and trust between the organization and its project beneficiaries, in order to mobilise community contributions to project implementation and to help resolve any disagreements that arise between the organization and the community to ensure timely implementation.
The responsibilities of the Community Mobilizer will include, but not be limited to:
Organisational communication at community level and support the production of community awareness and visibility material
Basic community level trainings
Community mobilization and facilitate community dialogues
Support project activities as required
Engage in basic project monitoring activities, as well as monitoring of partner projects
Assist in beneficiary selection and ensure project beneficiaries are selected according to set criteria
To carry out social audits in the community to ensure transparency and accountability in program implementation
Regular report on project activities and update senior regional programme staff on the progress of project implementation progress
Secondary Education
At least 2 years of experience of working for an NGO
Excellent communication skills
Excellent understanding of cultural and religious context
Basic conflict resolution experience and skills
Able to frequently travel to the field
Training and presentation skills
