Computer Management Assistant (Network Team Lead) (FSN-09) Trainee Level (FSN-08)
Operates State's Local Area Network (LAN) and all other information technology (IT) systems equipment serviced by ISC under the supervision of the Computer Management Specialist. This includes end-user support, installing and configuring computer equipment and software, troubleshooting computer problems, performing system backups and restores monitoring system availability and performance, end-user training. Ensure that the LAN responds to specific program needs of State/Program offices. Incumbent is responsible for keeping operational the Open Net SBU network and all related components, composed of over 46 servers and 2573 networked devices such as workstations, printers, Switches and digital senders, and is responsible for keeping operational the DIN network and all related components for over 150 users must lead team of application specialists.
VA 15-069 – Full Performance Level:
Education: Four year University degree in a computer field or electrical engineering plus one Industry Standard Information Technology certification: Comptia A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSA, CCNA or CCNP is required.
Experience: Three years of progressively responsible experience in computer systems administration with one year of supervisory experience are required.
VA 15-069 –Trainee Level:
Education: Four year University degree in a computer field or electrical engineering plus one Industry Standard Information Technology certification: Comptia A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSA, CCNA or CCNP is required.
Experience: two years of progressively responsible experience in computer systems administration with one year of supervisory experience are required.
Language: Level IV (fluent) speaking/reading in English and in Dari language is required.
Knowledge: Must possess a functional knowledge of the IT requirements and information processed by each and every department in the Mission. Accurate knowledge of the lSC’s operations and software applications. Technical knowledge of standard IT procedures in Large-sized LAN operations. Familiarity with Consular and Financial programs and relevant software applications for carrying our specialized CA and FMO activities.
Abilities and Skills: Ability to analyze IT problems and follow established procedures and routines. Good interpersonal skills to promote computer and Automation services.
