Job Summary

This is an hourly based part-time job and the instructor will be paid 12.5 USD per hour. The computer teacher is expected to professionally teach the following ICDL modules: Computer Essentials, Word Processing, Presentation, IT Security, Using Databases, Digital Marketing, Project Planning, 3D Design, Information Literacy, and ICT in Education. For the management of the classes, the teacher will use the Educational Management Information System (EMIS) and will be responsible for providing any other supplementary materials needed for the classes based on students’ need. 

Duties & Responsibilities

1.      Develop and teach a comprehensive curriculum for the computer classes.

2.      Prepare lesson plans and submit them through EMIS on time on weekly basis.

3.      Prepare handouts and presentations required for each session based on the curriculum.

4.      Prepare and administer placement tests, student interviews, achievement tests.

5.      Prepare evaluation forms and assessment plan for computer classes and conduct quizzes, midterm, final, projects, and other homework assessments.

6.      Submit student assessment scores in EMIS on timely basis.

7.      Complete student course evaluation before class end date. 

8.      Keep a well-organized student portfolio to track student’s progress throughout the course.

9.      Use additional online resources as supplementary materials for the classes.

10.   Conduct student registration, administer placement test, and enroll students in classes. 

11.   Take the attendance in EMIS for every session accurately and on time.

12.   Conduct small group and individual classroom activities based on differentiated learning needs.

13.   Observe students regularly and provide feedback regarding their learning progress.

14.   Keep students engaged throughout the class using communicative and interactive activities.

15.   Perform any other related duties in accordance with instructions from supervisor.

Job Requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Master’s degree preferred.

·        At least two years of computer instructions experience is required.

·        Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and knowledge of Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Forms, and experience in handling web-based management systems.
