The primary role of the Social and Behavior Change Expert is to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate behavior change interventions that address key social issues and drive positive changes within the target population.
Role Overview
The SBC Expert will collaborate with Lapis’s SBC Practice Lead and teams across the organization to design, implement, and measure multi-channel SBC interventions across a variety of thematic areas, including health (especially reproductive, maternal, neonatal, and child health; nutrition; and mental health) and education. The SBC Expert will serve as Lapis’s primary technical resource for behavior change in Afghanistan and will lead SBC projects or SBC-focused components of larger projects. In this capacity, the SBC Expert will advance critical partnerships at the national and provincial levels, including relationships with funders, government entities, and specialized sub-contractors. The SBC Expert will support monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) relating to SBC, including the design of studies and monitoring and evaluation systems.
