Job Summary

• Prepares foods to the specifications of the client.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean food preparation areas as determined by the law and policy of the company.
• Prepare foods to the specifications of the client.
• Prepare food before the arrival of guests.
• Order ingredients and spices as needed.
• Operate various kitchen appliances such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food based on client preference.
• Assist other cooks during the food assembly process.
• Estimate expected food consumption and organize preparation.
• Butcher and cook animal meat based on the restaurant atmosphere.
• Prepare any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins.
• Stay open until the last customer leaves.
• Clean up after business hours.
• Communicate with the supervisor about how to improve meal service.
• Prepare the kitchen before the arrival of the chefs.
• Clean the kitchen before and after food service.
• Prepare ingredients beforehand, like cleaning and chopping the vegetables.
• Clean all the kitchen equipment before and after use. 
• Clean the kitchen and maintain cleanliness at all times as there could be an inspection anytime.
• Cook dishes under the supervision of the chef.
• Keep a check on the safety equipment.
• Any other tasks asked by the supervisor. 

Job Requirements

To be literate. Preferably a 12th-grade graduate.

Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.

Fluent (oral and written) in Dari and Pashto.
