Job Summary

The Courier Driver with literacy skills will be responsible for safe and efficient transportation of packages and documents between designated locations. Additionally, they will be required to utilize literacy skills for tasks directly related to courier operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages to specified destinations.

• Adhere to traffic regulations and company safety protocols.

• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of packages, maintaining customer satisfaction.

• Utilize literacy skills for tasks such as reading delivery instructions, addresses, and package labels.

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns.

• Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of company vehicles.

• Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transportation and delivery.

• Assist with loading and unloading packages as required.

• Collect payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.

• Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy in all interactions

• Perform any other tasks assigned by Line manager

Job Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Previous experience as a courier driver or in a similar role preferred.

• Strong literacy skills, particularly in reading and comprehending delivery instructions, addresses, and package labels.

• Basic English language proficiency for effective communication with colleagues and customers.

• Basic computer skills for utilizing electronic devices and software applications related to courier operations.

• Good knowledge of local roads and routes.

• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

• Physical fitness to lift and carry packages of varying weights.

• Clear communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional demeanor and commitment to upholding company standards.

Duration and Working Hours:

• The position is full-time. Working hours may vary based on business requirements, including weekends and holidays.
