Job Summary

The purpose of the foreman is to work closely with field team and Rights Holders to support and implement the effective implementation of the project and do the effective assessments and monitoring, field monitoring, and evaluation, follow up and learning activities under the line management of Project Manager in east region to ensure the quality implementation and sufficient assessments and studies align with approved PPA and Approved plan.
The Project Foreman will ensure that the project implementation from the implementation aspects is ensured and it is on the right track and all required assessments and studies have been conducted and the tools are developed with the effective manner, Reporting based on the donor requirements and data collection information.
The prime responsibilities of Foreman are to ensure the accountability and transparency of projects through various methodologies and tools considerations.
This is a challenging role and the position holder has to ensure that the OHW Country Programmes get competent, effective and efficient technical support for smooth implementation and quality delivery of the activities.

Duties & Responsibilities


Supervise and monitor the project water supply and other activities under the CPM Project in east region.

Conducting effective assessments and studies based on the project requirements as per signed PPA.

Ensure that the projects implementation carried out based on the approved agreement and PPA with stakeholder and donor, following a holistic approach.

Monthly, quarter and daily reporting to the Project Manager based on the agreed PPA.

Collection of required data in close collaboration with the relevant staff and stakeholders to develop project reports.

To attend coordination meetings in close collaboration with the program manager.

To ensure the security policy and procedure are applied in the field level.

Project identification, preparing of technical survey in planned projects areas and prepare future projections as well.

Identify the project RHs Rights Holders (Beneficiaries).

Monitor, and technical supervision and coach staff during visits to site.

Suggest and assist project manager to conduct training at field level as necessary and appropriate.

To ensure that the progress reports is matching the actual achievements on the ground.

Collation and analysis of assessment data (through surveys, assessment and web statistics, interviews, case studies and reports) and analyzed against outcomes to draw out learning and implications.

Triangulation of findings using different types of data and analysis of trends over time.

Ensuring reports and findings are communicated effectively via close collaboration with the Project team and team leaders for Quality Assurance and Capacity Development in east region of Afghanistan.

Job Requirements


To have technical understanding of social and mobilizing skills of the project implementation.

At least Bachelor degree in social science.

At least 2 years of similar position.

Good conceptual thinking skills and an ability to develop diverse and innovative solutions to problems.

Good understanding of project planning and management cycles and experience of developing quality project report and other documents.

Good communication skills.

Experienced in community capacity building.

Experienced in working in fragile contexts.

Very good self-management competencies.

Ability to communicate appropriately via Pashto and Dari.
Desirable
Experience working in I/NGOs
