Job Summary:

We seek exceptional candidates for Executive Producer role who have the passion, intellectual acuity, and business acumen to help with implementation of our education focused projects. He/She will be responsible for day-to-day coordination of the relevant tasks and deliverables and will lead on production of educational contents in close coordination wit the rest of the team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Learn and understand the educational contents development processes

• Initiate creative vision for educational contents episodes

• Assist in identifying and hiring local production and creative staff

• Constant collaboration with producers to discuss creative issues & reviews

• Establish and maintain collaboration between Production with Education/Research Teams

• Collaboration with Head Writer and Writing Staff 

• Reading and evaluating all drafts of scripts 

• Collaboration with Producers on filming, animation and formats

• Production meetings to create and monitor budget

• Pre-production meetings prior to studio/films production with production unit

• Maintain daily presence during studio/films production to ensure production quality and vision

• Consistent sharing, communications and collaboration with production team

• Represent and be the champion of the educational contents to be developed 

• Responsible for timely execution of the program

• Oversees day-to-day production processes to ensure activities are running according to schedule

• Resolve any problems or interruptions in production

• Reviews all products to determine quality

Job Requirement:

• Diploma in cinema, acting or equivalent work experience in the field

• At least 3 years of experience in related field

• Understanding, speaking and writing of Dari and Pashto

• Must be creative, dynamic and innovative

• Should be a leader who can provide a creative atmosphere for the writers and production staff

• Must be able to delegate responsibilities and assignments to staff (as appropriate) while maintaining overall responsibility to the production

• Must be committed to producing entertaining and appropriate television programming for children while achieving set educational objectives

• Strong leadership and mentorship skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Team player

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to think both creatively and analytically, with precise attention to details

• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

• Has a creative flair and a commitment to quality programming

• Has a love for production of educational contents

• Be able to work under pressure calmly and effectively, to adhere to tight deadlines

• Knowledge of Dari and/or Pashto is required, and fluency in English is preferable 

• Five years of experience in the industry (film, TV, music, etc.) is required 

• Bachelor’s Degree in film, television, music, or journalism (or similar) is required
