Job Summary

The cyber security consultant is responsible for consulting with AFCERT as technical experts and trusted advisors to find solutions to customer problems in the areas of cyber security which includes data audit, policy enforcement, information assurance and incident response. The incumbent must have strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate the value of cyber security professional services as a full-solution, and to function independently or part of a team to fulfill the mission statement and strategic goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

The consultant is expected to conduct the following:
• Entire management of Sun Solaris servers and Non-Unix (windows-Based) servers.
• Providing solutions for all kinds of problems related to UNIX and windows systems.
• Responsible for SAN storage DMX3, Clarion CX3 series, NAS CS40, Sun 5120, 5220, T1000, T2000, Hp rs3600 rs6600, Linux Box and Sun T3, 9985, 6140 Storage Array Administration.
• Customization, Optimization and Hardening of Enterprise servers.
• Writing innovative automation shell script for all kinds of administrative Tasks.
• Implementing project oriented servers and configure team level requirement for respective business units (banks, ministries, governmental and non- governmental sectors etc).
• Knowledge and experience on Microsoft services like DHCP, DNC domain, LAS, etc.
• Responsible for Brocade switch administration.
• Responsible for configuration maintenance and troubles shooting of VERITAS Net back up tool.
• Operation System
• Solaris 10,9,7,8,2.6, Red Hat EL 5,4,3,and 9,8,7. X, 6.x, Microsoft Windows server 2003. 2008.
• Hardware
• Sun Sparc Enterprise T5120, T5220, T1000, T2000, Sun x 6250 Server Module, Sun E250, E420, E450, Sun Fire V210, V240, V440, V880.
• Training the subordinates in various network related areas.
The entire assignment is scheduled to be completed within 12 months from the date of signing the agreement.
The consultant will be provided the following.
• Office space, internet access.
• Access to the ANDC network and password for various devices.
• ANDC Network design, configuration and other technical documents.
• Support to arrange meetings with clients as required.

Job Requirements

Masters or Bachelor degree in computer networks or similar field is required.

• Engineer with 5 years of Unix Administration and knowledge on NAS and SAN storage technology
• Dedicated and responsible senior person and a good team player.
• Strong shell scripting knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills.
• Strong SAN management knowledge.
Work Experience
• Experience in Unix platforms (Linux, Solaris, AIX and Non-Unix Windows)
• Having good knowledge and experience in storage managements (EMC.Net APP)
• Well versed knowledge with SAN Architecture.
• Having sound knowledge in SUN cluster managements,
• Familiar with shell script.
• Familiar with Tape library operation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
Required Certifications
• Red hat certified engineer for RHEL 4 or later.
• Solaris verified system Administrator (optional).
• Microsoft certified IT professional.
