Duties & Responsibilities

The Cyber Security Specialist, reporting to the Information Security Manager, is responsible for the following roles and responsibilities:


1. Cyber Security Operations Management:

-    Supervise day-to-day cyber security operations, ensuring prompt detection, response, and resolution of security incidents.

-  Coordinate and conduct cyber security investigations, root cause analysis, and incident response activities.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cyber security measures and best practices.


2. Policy and Procedure Development:

- Formulate and enforce cyber security policies, standards, and procedures.

-   Regularly review and update cyber security documentation to address the latest threats and vulnerabilities.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.


3. Cyber Security Technology Management:

-   Evaluate, implement, and manage cyber security technologies, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, endpoint protection, and network security designs.

- Stay informed about emerging cyber security technologies and provide recommendations for their adoption.


4. Incident Response and Forensics:

- Lead cyber incident response efforts, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

- Conduct forensic analysis when necessary to identify the root cause of cyber security incidents.


5. Cyber Security Awareness and Training:

- Develop and deliver cyber security awareness training programs for employees.

- Cultivate a security-conscious culture within the organization.


6. Risk Management:

- Identify and assess cyber security risks and vulnerabilities.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for mitigating cyber security risks.


7. Collaboration and Communication:

- Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and other departments to align cyber security initiatives with business objectives.

-   Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of cyber security operations.

This Position will Require Frequent Interactions with:

 

§  Internal Stakeholders:. All business units processing Roshan information.


§  External Stakeholders:. Vendors and service suppliers in contact with Roshan sensitive information.


ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

 

Bachelor’s degree required. CISM or equivalent required.


EXPERINCES

 

Minimum 4 years of experience in information security, information technology or related field.


SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

 

- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CSA, CySA+, eEDA) are a plus.

-   Proven experience in a security operations role with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

-   In-depth knowledge of security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.

- Experience with incident response, forensics, and risk management.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
