Duties & Responsibilities

• Data Officer works closely with the Deputy Data Manager and other field staff to perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
•  Deciding upon resolving any data inconsistencies, including where appropriate, the specification and implementation of data edits.
•   Taking the initiative to develop new checks and constantly improve the data-checking processes.
•   Assist in and create data documentation as required.
•    Compliance with required data security procedures.
•  Attendance at data processing meetings and involvement in planning the work.
•  Check the data accuracy at regular intervals, ensure errors are corrected.
•   Take regular backups of the data.
• Any other task as assigned by the Deputy Data Manager/Team Leader.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

•  Bachelor Degree in Computer science and Mangment or related field is must
• At least 4 years of working experience in field of Data officer with INGO/NGO or other well recognized organization.
•  Strong data management and analysis skills;
•   Proficiency in the Word and Excel.
•   Familiarity with troubleshooting electronic data collection tools.
•  Experience with data collection software- Google Open Data Kit (ODK), Kobo Toolbox and Survey CTO;
• Skilled in the identification of inconsistencies in survey data.
