Job Summary

The Database Assistance is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Bank’s databases, managing them according to business, regulatory and continuity requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.   Assist in installation and configuration of oracle RAC.

2.  Prepare Active Data Guard environment including installation, configuration and maintenance.

3.  Familiarity with modern database tools for finding database vulnerabilities.

4.  Having practical experience in applying Oracle database patch, grid patch and EMCC patch.

5.  Hands on experience in setting up and configuring Oracle Multitenant architecture.

6.  Develop, manage and test oracle back up and recovery methods (RMAN, Data Pump).

7.  Good knowledge of oracle database optimization for maximum performance.

8.  Devise and implement efficient procedures for Oracle Database hardening.

9.  Deep Knowledge of Oracle Database encryption, specially TDE.

10.Excellent understanding of installation, configuration and management of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.

11.Proficient in PL/SQL, TSQL.

12.Fluent in Package/Package body creation.

13.Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly.

14.Proven experience in Oracle Database Administration.

15.Have overall SQL server administration skills.

16.In-depth understanding of SQL server replication procedures.

17.Having experience in SQL server backup and recovery procedures.

18.Creating and enforcing policies for effective data management.

19.Good knowledge of Linux/AIX administration.

Job Requirements

Minimum experience: 2 years.

Qualifications

 Professional certifications and education play an important role in developing skills and demonstrating professionalism and commitment to maintain a professional standing. Qualifications include:

Minimum of Bachelor Degree in the Computer Sciences

   Professional Certifications

Professional certification in Oracle (e.g. OCA, OCP) and MS SQL SERVER are advantages.
