Creative - CCI, Multi Location
The Database Officer will oversee all interaction with the OTI Activity Database and monitor the information flow between CCI’s program and grants teams, and the OTI Activity Database for accuracy and completeness.
Assist the Database Manager with the multiple stages of documenting grant clearances and approvals for a high volume of grant activities. Assignments include data entry and communication with the field offices to ensure the highest quality of information is included within each grant/activity entry for the USAID/OTI database. This includes:
a) Weekly activity notes
b) Weekly financial disbursement reports
c) Activity clearances, modifications and closures
d) GPS Coordinates into the OTI Grants database
e) Back up program documents in share drives
f) Provide reports from OTI database to the team
Input, manage and review information in the OTI Activity Database on a regular basis
Ensure all database information is accurate, consistent and complete
Ensure consistency between the OTI activity database and the CCI program management tools and teams
Assist CCI activity developers to present information in a consistent manner across all activities
Collaborate with the CCI M&E and Reporting and Communications team members to present activity information in scheduled and ad hoc reports
Assist in weekly/monthly field data collection/extraction to ensure validity of data
Support the Database Manager with any upgrades and adaptations made to the OTI activity database.
The Database Officer will perform any other tasks assigned by the Database Manager, DCOP, which are consistent with his qualifications, the Scope of Work and the General requirements of CCI.
A collegiate education in Database Management, Information Technology, or Computer Science. Additional qualification in project management, results based management is highly desirable.
At least one year of experience working on projects in a related role (databases and small grants contracts)
Experience with activity design
The ability to understand CCI-relevant national, regional, and local Afghan politics to ensure the information in the OTI activity database accurately reflects the political reality
Previous experience working in similar environments and on transition programs in insecure environments is desirable
LANGUAGES
English and Pashto language fluency required.
A collegiate education in Database Management, Information Technology, or Computer Science. Additional qualification in project management, results based management is highly desirable.
