Conduct multi-day training—alone and in teams—on democracy and governance related topics throughout their Areas of Responsibility;
Review training curricula created by NDI’s program teams; training themes could include, among other topics: democratic systems and principles, sub-national governance, provincial development, communication, lobbying, political parties, electoral processes, rule of law, etc;
Offer suggestions, as appropriate, to modify training curricula to improve content/clarity;
Participate and contribute in all training of trainers (ToT) sessions to ensure a high level of understanding of the training topics;
Create materials (power point presentations, written flipcharts) to be used during trainings;
Receive constructive feedback from NDI senior staff on your training practices and methodologies, and modify your trainings accordingly;
Provide written feedback on trainings following each session to NDI’s office in Kabul;
Conduct independent research on topic areas to ensure understanding of training topics;
Attend other training / workshops on topics related to your work with NDI organized by national and international agencies (in addition to NDI events);
Advising, mentoring, and monitoring trainees in between training sessions to ensure retention of knowledge from the trainings;
Undertake any other tasks as directed by the country director or his/her designee(s).
Ensure all NDI policies and procedures are followed and adhered to in implementing NDI programs, in processing paperwork and in day to day functions;
Organize and maintain both hard and soft filing systems;
Prepare weekly and activity reports for timely submission;
Travel to other provinces and districts to perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with security guidelines;
Their duties as requested by Regional Manager and Senior Management and the country director;
Minimum 3 years experience in international organizations, internships or research institutes.
Professional-level written and spoken English, Dari/ Pashto.
Strong attention to detail and high-level of organizational ability.
Ability to work within a team and provide the highest possible level of professionalism.
Advanced or equivalent degree in an applicable field.
Good computer skills
Able to work independently in a multi-disciplinary team
Must be able to type in Dari and English
Experienced in using all Microsoft Windows products
Must have experience with Outlook and understand email protocols
