Job Summary

OXUS Afghanistan has recently designed its Digital Financial Strategy (DFS) Action Plan which incorporates initiatives which are currently in place but also others viewed as crucial for the achievement of OXUS strategic objectives. To implement this plan, it needs to recruit a DFS coordinator who will play a central role in working with other members of its team in providing technical assistance to banks, mobile money issuers, technology service providers, financial institutions, in general, regulators and other stakeholders within the field of financial inclusion, for each one of the projects being developed and implemented. The incumbent will support the team and partners to conceptualize, design and implement all the components of the Digital Finance Services.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all ongoing DFS projects to ensure effective implementation of digital transactions and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Track all DFS project status and milestones, and take ownership of Oxus DFS business operations
  • Identification of opportunities and threats related to the implementation of Digital finance services in Oxus as well as the communities where these projects can take place.
  • Analyze and propose solutions to the internal and external challenges encountered by Oxus to its digital transformation process
  • Develop and roll out new DFS products in coordination with internal and external stakeholders including the Afghan Payment System (APS)
  • Analysis of Afghan agent network deployment for bank and EMI operators and a recommend on how to leverage on the existing network of agents.
  •  Conduct research to attract new customers and retain existing ones using digital channels, and develop other suitable delivery channels for services to reduce cost and increase outreach and market share.
  •  Ensure security and compliance requirements are built in every delivery channel in liaison with information security and IT to minimize fraud.
  • Ensure the activities for the new channels abide by the Oxus overall service quality standards.


Job Requirements

SKILLS:

  • Graduate in Finance / Accounts/Marketing/IT
  • Excellent managerial skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • 3-5 years experience in Mobile Money, Alternative delivery Channels or transaction Banking
  • Marketing and communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Good operational skills
  • Microfinance Experience would be a added advantage
