Job Summary

Director of Operations and Administrations

Duties & Responsibilities

The Director of Operations is responsible for all daily operations of the company, including but not limited to procurement, life support services, transportation, customs and registration, vendor contracts, security, logistics and special projects.
The Director of Operations is responsible to function as a management contact for all departments within AFGS, leads and organizes management meetings, serve as a point of contact between AFGS and partners/subcontractors, and clients.
The Director of Operations is responsible to implement policies and procedures throughout the company, finance and administration personnel as well as in consultation with all business unit managers and key staff, both nationals and internationals, and provide feedback on systems including additional recommendations.

Job Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in business administration or related fields (masters degree preferred).
• 5 to 8 years of solid managerial experience in managing small to medium sized companies.
• Demonstrated understanding of logistics, procurement, administration, finance and Human Resources ethics as well as excellent managerial skills with a diverse group of people and ability to handle large flow of information and activities.
• Ability to understand technical material in the field of construction, electrical and O and M Maintenance Services.
• U.S. Contracts experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently, prioritizes, shows initiative and experienced in a Company/Business setting.
• Possess a strong understanding of Budgets/Projections and report writing.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, organizational skills and multi-tasking.
• Ability to work under pressures and meet deadlines.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English, Dari and Pashtu.
• Willingness to travel throughout the project areas throughout Afghanistan.
