Job Summary

The Eco-Environmental surveyors will be working under direct supervision of Social Environmental Assessment Specialist of KTISPG project. The surveyors are responsible to conducting field research activities in the targeted Provinces (Kunduz, Balkh and Jawzjan).


Duties & Responsibilities

. Biology / Ecology section

·        Collect Information on KTISPG project study area: from Ecological Perspective

·        Conduct Zoological Survey: Faunal Diversity: Amphibia, Reptile, Bird, Mammal and Fish (Aquatic Fauna + Terrestrial Fauna)

·        Conduct Botanical Survey: Floral Diversity: Tree, Herb & Shrub (Aquatic Flora + Terrestrial Flora + Forest Flora)

·        Capture and / or Collect Photos: fauna, flora & survey area, surveyor activity, etc. via Camera

·        Prepare List: Threatened Flora and Fauna

·        Prepare List of Important Ecological Site 

·        Assist to prepare GIS maps on eco-environmental aspects

·        Assist field data entry and analysis through Computer Software

·        Other duties as per project requirements, etc.

2. Physicochemical section

·        Collect soil sample and sent to laboratory for analysis

·        Collect water sample and send to laboratory for analysis

·        Arrange air quality sampling and / or collect air quality data

·        Conduct noise sampling data / collect noise data.

Other duties as per project requirements, etc. 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Biological/Environmental Sciences



·        Excellent analytical and communication skills

·        Ability to think out of the box and suggest remedial solutions that best benefit the client to achieve KTISPG goals

·        Excellent research skills, goal-oriented, and thorough professional

·        Good IT skills such as word processing with excellent use of spreadsheets Self-management, self-discipline, hardworking, and multi-tasking are some of the other required skills

·        Should be able to prioritize work and should have a positive attitude.

  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
